In many respects, the knives of the Cold Steel® Hold Out series are ideal EDC knives (Every Day Carry) for daily use. They are astonishingly light and comfortable to carry, yet at the same time give you the reassuring sense of security that only high-performance pocket knives can provide.

The beautiful satin-finished blades of S35VN steel are extremely functional. They are flat ground from the spine, with a narrow V-shaped cross-section and a razor-sharp, hand-honed cutting edge. Continuously curved from the neck to the sharp point, they glide effortlessly through tough and coarse material and can handle everyday tasks and cutting jobs with ease.

The G-10 handles are ergonomic marvels. They offer an incredibly secure hold and will neither rotate in the palm nor wobble during use. The grip-promoting G-10 material and the cut-outs provide additional grip across a variety of holding techniques. In addition, the positioning of the Tri-Ad® locking mechanism and the geometry of blade and handle are perfectly matched to one another. The result is a knife with a performance-to-weight ratio that astonished even Cold Steel®'s own research and development team.

Available in two sizes, the Hold Outs are incredibly thin and flat and are fitted with a reversible pocket clip.

CPM S35VN steel
This is an exceptional American super steel. CPM S35VN is not only extremely tough and durable, but also sharpens very well to a razor-sharp edge and holds that sharpness for a long time. With its uniform microstructure, this very fine-grained powder steel offers consistent, good properties: durable, reliable, highly corrosion-resistant, tough and hard even with thinly ground edges. A good, versatile steel for top-quality knives and tools.
