BKA-legal "Out The Front" (OTF) switchblade
OTF switchblades are prohibited items in Germany - unless the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) does not classify them as a "weapon" within the meaning of the Weapons Act.
In this regard, the BKA already laid down the criteria for knives in 2006 (file reference SO13-2022-36166803).
The BKA sets the limit at a maximum blade length of 41mm and a width of 10mm. The "Böker Plus Micro USB" lies within this limit and is therefore NOT a weapon within the meaning of the Weapons Act.
Possession in Germany is therefore legal.
The Böker Plus Micro USB OTF is an extremely handy automatic knife that is strongly reminiscent of the characteristic design of common USB sticks. The knife has a slider on the front of the handle that shoots the D2 blade out of the handle with lightning speed. Thanks to the lanyard eyelet, the Micro USB can be carried on a key ring, or alternatively with the clip on a trouser pocket or belt.
The knife is very sharp and, thanks to the high-quality D2 steel, also holds its edge well. Small everyday cutting tasks are therefore done in no time thanks to the practical one-handed operation.
The elegant satin finish of the blade harmonises perfectly with the black handle made of CNC-milled 6061-T6 aluminium.
