Automatic knives open at the push of a button – quickly and with one hand. At X-Hunter you will find switchblades and OTF knives from Böker Plus, for example from the Kalashnikov series, as well as rescue knives with glass breaker.

BKA approval and the switchblade ban

Almost all switchblades in our range have BKA approval – you will find the note on each item. Since 31.10.2024, a ban on handling and possession applies to switchblades without this approval: they are prohibited items and, under Annex 2 to the German Weapons Act, Section 1 No. 1.4.1, are now only permitted for persons who have a legitimate interest in one-handed use or who need them for their profession (e.g. hunting, crafts) or sport (e.g. sailing, mountaineering). We only supply such knives to authorised persons; this is then stated in the item description.

When carrying knives in public, § 42a WaffG applies: one-handed opening knives and fixed-blade knives with a blade longer than 12 cm may only be carried with a legitimate interest; there are also weapon and knife prohibition zones.
