Suppressors & Muzzle Devices
A muzzle device changes how your firearm shoots: less recoil, less muzzle rise, less muzzle flash – or a much quieter report. In this category you will find suppressors & muzzle devices from AseUtra, A-TEC, Brenner and Clawgear.
Which device for which purpose?
- Muzzle brake – diverts gases to the side and reduces recoil
- Compensator – directs gases upwards and keeps the muzzle steady
- Flash hider – reduces muzzle flash, especially at dusk
- Suppressor – reduces the muzzle report and protects your hearing
It all depends on the thread
Before buying, check the muzzle thread of your firearm. Common examples are M14×1 left-hand on the AK in 7.62×39, M24×1.5 right-hand on the AK in 5.45×39 and 1/2"-28 UNEF on the AR-15 in .223 Rem. We will be happy to advise you, and our Workshop Service can take care of the fitting on request.
Legal notes
Muzzle brakes, compensators and flash hiders can generally be purchased without a licence. Suppressors require a permit: hunters may buy them for long guns with a valid annual hunting licence – without prior entry in the firearms ownership licence (WBK) – and then have them registered. You will find the purchase status on every item and the procedure in our guide Buying firearms with a WBK or hunting licence.
