King Elendil, father of Isildur, was the original bearer of the mighty sword Narsil. Towards the end of the Second Age of Middle-earth, Narsil's blade was shattered in the great battle between Mordor and the Last Alliance of Elves and Men, and Elendil fell. But Isildur still managed to use a fragment of Narsil to cut the finger bearing the One Ring from the hand of the dark lord Sauron. After the loss of the Ring, Sauron's body was destroyed.

The shards of Narsil were guarded by the Elves in Rivendell for 3000 years. Only at the end of the Third Age was the blade reforged, to stand at the side of Aragorn, the rightful heir to the throne of Gondor, under the name Anduril (also Flame of the West).

This authentic and highly detailed collector's item is an officially licensed replica of the original movie prop from The Lord of the Rings trilogy. United Cutlery, an industry leader in the production of movie reproductions, has meticulously recreated the original sword using the best and highest-quality materials. The top priority was the exact reproduction of every detail. The blade of this magnificent sword is made of 420 stainless steel. The elaborately designed hilt has a leather-wrapped grip section as well as a crossguard and a pommel made of solid metal with gold-plated accents. Elvish runes, written in Sindarin, are engraved in the pommel and say: Narsil is my name, a mighty sword. Telchar made me in Nogrod.

A wooden wall display with a screen-printed design and a certificate of authenticity are included in the scope of delivery.
