Drop Forged Boot Knife
Cold Steel®'s Monolithic Axe and Tool® Series - Fixed Blade Knives

2019 Model with Dark Grey Finish

Lynn C. Thompson has developed a special fascination for the simple functionality of drop forged knives. Their one-piece construction from a solid piece of steel sets new standards in terms of stability and durability, and as a passionate prepper/survivalist, hunter and nature lover, Lynn cannot deny that the robustness of these rugged, back-to-basics knives holds a special appeal for him. With no leather or wooden handle that could tear, rot or break, and no loose parts that could break off, get damaged or be lost in the field, these incredibly robust, resilient blades are easy to maintain and clean. They are also inexpensive enough to allow you to buy a second one for your hunting bag or your survival emergency kit.

Cold Steel®'s monolithic (= made of one piece) knives of the Monolithic Axe and Tool® series are not cheap castings but are drop forged from 52100 carbon steel. In every model in the series, the solid steel body is expertly heat-treated from the tip of the sharp blade to the end of the powerful handle. For a comfortable and secure grip, each knife is ergonomically shaped and has a deep hollow in the grip section. Because these knives are easy to modify and personalise, they are also perfectly suited as 'project knives'. The handles can be upgraded as desired, and filing, engraving or other cool modifications can be made to individualise them.

Drop Forged Boot Knife
The Drop Forged Boot Knife is a boot knife that can be carried particularly discreetly. Its sharp, approx. 12.7 cm long double-edged blade with an extremely pointed tip is formidably effective, and thanks to its slim profile and one-piece construction the knife lies particularly flat and does not show. The Drop Forged Boot Knife is sturdy and sharp and, thanks to its rather handle-heavy design, delivers incredible penetrating power. Every boot knife comes with a Secure-Ex® sheath with an integrated Ulti-Clip™*. This clip provides excellent, reliable retention whether the knife is in the boot or attached to the waistband.

*Made in the USA from 1075 spring steel, the Ulti-Clip™ offers extremely secure retention and ensures even more discreet carrying.

52100 Carbon Steel
52100 carbon steel is a hard-wearing steel that is excellently suited to fixed blade hunting knives and other fixed outdoor blades. It is often chosen by knifemakers for forging tough, wear-resistant blades that must withstand merciless conditions.
