Das Pocket Bushman wurde mit einem einzigen Ziel vor Augen entwickelt: ein robustes, zuverlässiges Klappmesser für Camp- und Alltagsarbeiten zu kreieren. Ein Messer, worauf man sich bei harten Outdoor-Arbeiten und Survival-Situationen verlassen kann, das aber noch klein und praktisch genug ist, um problemlos in die Tasche oder den Rucksack verstaut werden zu können.

Das Pocket Bushman verfügt über eine Klinge aus tieftemperaturbehandeltem Edelstahl 4116, die unglaublich strapazierfähig ist, sehr scharf geschliffen werden kann und eine fantastische Kantenfestigkeit aufweist. Sie ist lang, breit, und verfügt über eine scharfe Clip-Point-Spitze, die eine große Einsatzvielfalt ermöglicht.

Der Griff ist wie beim berühmten Douk-Douk aus einem einzigen Stück geformt. Es gibt weder Platinen noch Griffschalen oder Spacers. Dabei wird ein einzelnes Stück Edelstahl U-förmig gebogen. Dieses Stück dient als Klingengehäuse und bietet die für das innovative Ram Safe™-Verriegelungssystem nötige Stabilität und Robustheit.

Ram Safe™ Verriegelungsmechanismus
Dieses innovative System wurde von Andrew Demko entwickelt und ist für die Monoblock-Bauweise des Griffes perfekt geeignet. Es handelt sich dabei lediglich um einen Stahlkolben, der mittels Federkraft hin und her geschoben wird. Eine kräftige Druckfeder schiebt den Kolben nach vorn. So bleibt die Klinge unverrückbar an ihrer Stelle, ob das Messer auf- oder zugeklappt ist. In geöffnetem Zustand bleibt der Kolben eingekeilt zwischen Angel und Griffrahmen. Sollte der Kolben oder das Klingengelenk sich unter hartem Einsatz verformen, stellt sich der selbstjustierende Kolben nach und rastet einfach tiefer ein. Somit wird eine stabile Arretierung immer gewährleistet.

Rostfreier Messerstahl 4116
Der 4116er Stahl ist ein feinkörniger, rostfreier Messerstahl. Er wird oft für pharmazeutische Geräte und für hochqualitative Küchenmesser verwendet. Sein ausgewogenes Kohlenstoff-Chrom-Verhältnis sorgt sowohl für erstklassigen Rostschutz und große Stärke. Es sind sehr feine, extrem scharfe Schneiden schleifbar. Eine exzellente Wahl für Outdoor- /Jagdmesser und Küchenmesser und -utensilien.
