Das Cold Steel® Frenzy ist ein vom preisgekrönten Custom-Messermacher Andrew Demko entwickeltes Taschenmesser, dessen Design an antike japanische Kabutowari - sog. Helmbrecher, auch Hachiwari genannt - angelehnt ist. Es verfügt über einen kräftigen Klingenrücken, eine schlanke Klinge, eine gestochen scharfe Spitze und eine lange, flache Schneide.

Die ca. 14 cm lange Klinge des Frenzy ist aus erstklassigem amerikanischem S35VN-Stahl gefertigt - einem Stahl, der für ausgezeichnete Schnitthaltigkeit sorgt - und weist eine ausgeprägte Hohlkehle und eine satinierte Oberfläche mit sichtbaren Schleiflinien auf. Sie ist somit nicht nur effektiv sondern auch optisch sehr ansprechend. Und wenn sie das Licht einfängt, ist sie wahrhaftig wunderschön anzuschauen!

Der 3D CNC-gefräste, zweifarbige Griff besteht aus mehrschichtigem G-10. Er ist dünn und flach genug, um ein bequemes Mitführen des Messers zu ermöglichen, ohne dass es in der Tasche aufträgt, während seine gekonnt durchdachte ergonomische Form bei jeder Grifftechnik für Komfort und sicheren Halt sorgt.

Das Frenzy ist mit dem bahnbrechenden Tri-Ad®-Verriegelungsmechanismus ausgestattet, der sich durch höchste Widerstandsfähigkeit, Zuverlässigkeit und Sicherheit auszeichnet. Hier wird ein schnittiges, stilvolles Riesen-Klappmesser angeboten, das nur wenig Platz in Deiner Tasche braucht aber sich als erstzunehmendes Kraftpaket erweist, wenn Du es aufklappst!

2018er Modell - Das Frenzy II mit Klinge aus S35VN-Stahl ersetzt das nicht mehr produzierte Vorgängermodell aus CTS® XHP (Artikelnr. CST-62PV2).

Dies ist ein außerordentlicher amerikanischer Superstahl. CPM S35VN ist nicht nur äußerst zäh und beständig, sondern lässt sich auch sehr gut bis zur Rasiermesserschärfe schleifen und hält diese Schärfe eine lange Zeit. Mit seiner gleichförmigen Mikrostruktur bietet dieser sehr feinkörnige Pulverstahl beständige, gute Eigenschaften: haltbar, zuverlässig, im hohen Maße korrosionsfest, zäh und hart auch bei dünn geschliffenen Schneiden. Ein guter, vielseitiger Stahl für Messer und Werkzeuge der Spitzenqualität.
