Das originale Black Talon von Cold Steel® war ein handgefertigtes, in vielerlei Hinsicht revolutionäres Messer, das nur in limitierter Auflage produziert wurde. Es verfügte über eine modifizierte, gebogene Talon-Klinge* aus japanischem San Mai®-Stahl, einen glatten Titanrahmen mit Griffschalen aus G-10 und einen - für die damalige Zeit - sehr stabilen Verriegelungsmechanismus.

Lange haben Cold Steels® Fans sie angefleht, eine überarbeitete Version dieses kultigen Messers auf den Markt zu bringen. Da konnte Cold Steel® einfach nicht nein sagen und bietet nun eine Version in frischem Design, die auf den Namen Black Talon II getauft wurde.

Das Black Talon II ist in Zusammenarbeit zwischen Lynn C. Thompson und Messermacher Andrew Demko entstanden. Wie beim Originalmodell zeichnet sich seine Klinge durch die markante, stark nach unten gezogene Spitze und den ausgeprägten Bauch aus. Diese Version ist allerdings aus satiniertem S35VN-Stahl hergestellt und verfügt über eine neu konzipierte Spitze, die noch beständiger ist.

Sogar bei Kälte oder Nässe sorgen die Griffschalen aus G-10 für perfekten Halt und maximale Griffigkeit. Sie bleiben dennoch schonend für die Kleidung, z.B. beim Herausziehen aus der Tasche. Der Kontrast zwischen den tiefschwarzen Griffschalen und der herrlich glänzenden satinierten Klinge verleiht diesem wunderschönen, eleganten Klappmesser noch mehr Ausstrahlung und Stil. Für zusätzliche Sicherheit sorgt Cold Steels® hocheffizienter Tri-Ad®-Verriegelungsmechanismus.

Dieses dünne, leichte Messer ist ein absoluter Hingucker und wird in jeder Sammlung für viel Gesprächsstoff sorgen!

2019er Modell - Das Black Talon II mit gezahnter Klinge aus S35VN-Stahl ersetzt das nicht mehr produzierte Vorgängermodell aus CTS® XHP (Artikelnr. CST-22BTS).

Dies ist ein außerordentlicher amerikanischer Superstahl. CPM S35VN ist nicht nur äußerst zäh und beständig, sondern lässt sich auch sehr gut bis zur Rasiermesserschärfe schleifen und hält diese Schärfe eine lange Zeit. Mit seiner gleichförmigen Mikrostruktur bietet dieser sehr feinkörnige Pulverstahl beständige, gute Eigenschaften: haltbar, zuverlässig, im hohen Maße korrosionsfest, zäh und hart auch bei dünn geschliffenen Schneiden. Ein guter, vielseitiger Stahl für Messer und Werkzeuge der Spitzenqualität.
