The Smith & Wesson Model 500 revolver is one of the revolvers with the greatest firepower in the world.
The large calibre requires a massive, robust frame. Thus the 500, with its X-Large frame, weighs in at over 1.6 kg in the short 4-inch variant.
Thanks to the interchangeable compensator, however, recoil on firing is reduced to – bearable – levels.
