Die Subhilt-Messer von Cold Steel® bieten alle Vorteile eines maßgefertigten Messers, inklusive der Leistungsfähigkeit, sind aber viel günstiger. Die Klingen sind aus japanischem Edelstahl AUS 8A gefertigt und werden unter Anwendung der modernsten Techniken zweifach gehärtet, um unübertroffene Stärke und Festigkeit zu gewährleisten. Der Griff dieser Klingen ist ein Muster an Effizienz und Wirtschaftlichkeit. Griffpartie, Parierstange und Fingerdorn (Sub-Hilt) aus Kray- Ex™ sind aus einem Stück spritzgegossen. Dieses Material ist zwar kostengünstig, sorgt dennoch für die Langlebigkeit, Sicherheit und Kontrolle, die man von einem Subhilt-Messer erwarten darf. Und außerdem bleibt der Griff dadurch wetterfest und unempfindlich gegen Feuchtigkeit.

Cold Steels® Marauder® ist ein stabiles, unerbittliches und zuverlässiges Bowie-Messer. Es wurde zu Ehren der Merrill's Marauders - einer renommierten Spezialeinheit der US-Army (mit dem Einsatzcode Galahad), die für ihre Einsätze in Südostasien während des Zweiten Weltkrieges bekannt wurde - auf diesen Namen getauft. Seine extra-breite, rasiermesserscharfe Klinge verfügt über eine gewölbte Schneide, tiefe, breite Fasen und eine eindrucksvolle Clip-Point-Spitze.

Das Marauder® ist für Militärpersonal, Survivalisten und Jäger gleichermaßen geeignet, und ist mit glatter oder gezahnter Schneide verfügbar. Dank der mitgelieferten vielseitigen Secure-Ex®-Scheide kannst Du das Messer bequem und sicher am Gürtel, am Rucksack oder an Deiner Jagd-, Angel- oder Kampfmittelweste tragen.

2021er Modell - Das Marauder® mit glatter Schneide und Stonewash-Finish ersetzt das nicht mehr produzierte Vorgängermodell mit polierter Klingenoberfläche (Artikelnr. 39LSWB).

Edelstahl AUS 8A
Cold Steel® verwendet den gleichen fachmännisch gehärteten japanischen AUS 8A-Stahl seit nunmehr fast drei Jahrzehnten. Dieser Stahl ist außerordentlich gut erprobt und hat in all den Jahren bewiesen, dass er sich in exzellenter Weise zur Klingenherstellung von Arbeitsmessern eignet: Er ist zäh und korrosionsbeständig bei guter Schnitthaltigkeit und zudem leicht zu schärfen.
