Mini Tac® Bowie, Neck Knife with Plain Blade
Cold Steel® Mini Tac Series

The neck knives of Cold Steel's® Mini Tac® collection are so thin and light that they can be carried comfortably practically around the clock - both over and under clothing! Thanks to the robust ball chains and the durable Secure-Ex® sheaths, which were specially developed to hold the Mini Tac® knives snugly yet allow them to be drawn quickly and smoothly, these practical neck knives are suitable as utility or EDC knives or rescue knives and are even ideal companions when camping. Their versatility is almost inexhaustible.

Each Mini Tac® is fitted with thin, textured handle scales of high-quality Griv-Ex®. This allows them to be worn flat and close to the body and provides an optimal gripping surface. Combined with the integrated sub-hilt (finger stud), these handle scales give the hand incredible leverage and prevent the knife from rotating. A remarkably secure hold is therefore ensured.

The stainless steel blades have been heat-treated to the latest state of the art and ground razor sharp. For their size they are incredibly robust, which is attributable, among other things, to the full tang construction.

As a welcome addition to this popular collection, the Mini Tac® Bowie, designed by Andrew Demko, offers the familiar versatility of a sharp, sturdy clip-point blade and is perfectly suited both in the field and as an EDC knife. It comes with a Secure-Ex® sheath incl. a steel ball chain and will serve you well for many years.

Stainless steel 8Cr13MoV
8Cr13MoV has properties similar to AUS 8A and is a proven steel that is excellently suited to making working knives. In Cold Steel's® own tests, this high-carbon stainless steel proved tough and corrosion-resistant. Like AUS 8A, it shows good edge retention and is also easy to resharpen.
