Bei Universalmessern / Cuttermessern ist der am meisten bemängelte Aspekt die oft unzureichende Belastbarkeit. Schwache Arretierungen, spröde Klingen, mangelnde Leistungsfähigkeit bei schwierigeren Aufgaben, usw. Cold Steel® hat sich diesem Problem angenommen und ein Cuttermesser entwickelt, das nur so vor Stärke strotzt. Und dies auch noch zu einem erschwinglichen Preis!

Das (zum Patent angemeldete) Click-N-Cut ist besonders anspruchsvollen Schneidearbeiten gewachsen, denn bei seiner Gestaltung hat Cold Steel® Elemente der äußerst stabilen Tri-Ad®-Arretierung einfließen lassen. Zum Lieferumfang gehören drei austauschbare Klingen - zwei Standard-Klingen (eine mit glatter Schneide, die andere mit Wellenschliff) und eine Drop-Point-Klinge. Diese sind doppelt so dick wie die meisten vergleichbaren Klingen auf dem Markt und werden so (ob beim Schneiden, Ritzen, Kratzen oder Aushöhlen) den strapaziösesten Arbeiten standhalten.

Der Klingenwechsel ist denkbar einfach. Der Griff ist mit einer Lock-Bar ausgerüstet, wie man sie als Bestandteil des Öffnungssystems mancher Taschenmesser kennt. Das Entriegeln bzw. Lösen der Klinge erfolgt mühelos durch einen Druck auf die Lock-Bar. Lock-Bar gedrückt halten, neue Klinge einschieben, Lock-Bar loslassen und die Klinge rastet hörbar ein.

Die mitgelieferte Gürtelscheide bietet Platz für ein komplett montiertes Messer und verfügt über zwei zusätzliche Fächer für die zwei übrigen Klingen. Weitere Ersatzklingen sind außerdem separat erhältlich.
