With a red dot sight you shoot with both eyes open and acquire the target faster than with iron sights. At X-Hunter you will find red dots for long guns and pistols from Hawke, CAT, Konus and Umarex.

The designs

  • Closed red dot sights (for example 1×22 or 1×30) – robust, for rifles, shotguns and the AR-15
  • Open reflex sights – flat and lightweight, also for pistols with interfaces such as RMSc or Docter
  • Prism sights – such as the Hawke Prism Sight 4×24 with etched BDC reticle, readable even without a battery
  • Combinations with magnifier and magnetic mounts such as the CAT SM2 for Glock

Dot size and mounting

Dot size is stated in MOA: 2–3 MOA is precise and fast, while larger dots and circle dots are even quicker to find at short range. Check the interface on your firearm (Picatinny, Weaver, 11 mm or pistol footprint) – you will find matching parts under Mounts & Rails. Red dot sights can be purchased without a licence.
