Knives, blades, tools and sharp or pointed objects present a risk of cuts, stab wounds and injury. Do not touch sharp edges or points without protection and use suitable sheaths, safety devices or packaging.

For firearms, essential firearm parts, accessories and ammunition, the special provisions of weapons law, proof law, explosives law and other applicable regulations also apply. Always treat firearms as if they were loaded. Never point weapons at people; point them at animals only in the context of lawful hunting. Ammunition must be stored separately, safely and inaccessible to unauthorised persons.

For products with batteries or rechargeable batteries: do not short-circuit, heat or open them, charge them only with suitable chargers and do not continue to use damaged batteries. Load muzzleloaders only with the charge of black powder or approved substitute specified by the manufacturer – never with smokeless powder. Purchase, possession and handling of black powder require a licence under explosives law; store percussion caps and powder separately, cool, dry and out of reach of unauthorised persons.

Before loading, make sure the barrel is clear and not loaded; never lean over the muzzle. Clean thoroughly after shooting, as black powder residue is highly corrosive. Shoot only at approved shooting ranges.
